We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated early career Environmental Design Engineer to join our Lincoln, NE office. As Design Engineer you will be part of a collaborative team working on a wide array of projects that enhance communities and protect ecosystems.

What you will do:

The Environmental Design Engineer will lead tasks on a wide array of projects and contribute to meaningful environmental project.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Collecting field data for environmental assessments
  • Analyzing complex datasets to drive project decisions
  • Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis
  • Creating detailed design drawings and technical specifications
  • Preparing reports and developing cost estimates
  • Overseeing construction activities to ensure successful project outcomes

Our Projects:
Our team takes on a wide variety of impactful projects, including sediment remediation, stream stabilization, aquatic habitat restoration, water quality improvement, watershed planning, subsurface remediation, and stormwater management. You’ll gain hands-on experience on projects that span the U.S., working in adventurous locations that showcase diverse environmental challenges from coast to coast, including Hawaii, Guam, Alaska, and unique locations like the Great Lakes.

What you will need:

  • B.S. in environmental, civil, biological systems engineering, or related field.
  • 0-4 years of related experience.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Experience with design plans and specifications.
  • Experience with construction inspection, and hydrologic and hydraulics modeling desired.
  • Critical thinking and technical writing skills, including the ability to convey information at an appropriate level of communication with varying level of project team members. Must be flexible, adaptable, and eager to solve diverse environmental problems.
