We have an exciting opportunity for an early career Environmental Planner in our Seattle, WA office.

What you will do:

The early career Environmental Planner will provide support to our mid-level and senior-level staff by assisting with studies associated with SEPA/NEPA environmental review, land use permitting, and marketing research.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Research, analyze and write in support of SEPA/NEPA environmental review documents.
  • Coordinate teams of technical consultants.
  • Coordinate public meetings and public comments.
  • Support marketing research and proposal preparation/production.

What you will need:

  • BA/BS degree in environmental, planning, geography, or related science.
  • 1-3 years of public or private planning and environmental review experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with planning and environmental review regulations (e.g., SEPA, NEPA, growth management act (GMA), and local land use regulations).
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis in support of SEPA/NEPA environmental review.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Desire to learn and grow.
  • Strong organizational, writing, and verbal presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Publisher, GIS, and other graphic software.
  • AICP or other planning-related certifications are desirable but not required.

Anticipated salary range of $67,000 to $72,000 per year.
