We have an excellent opportunity for a senior-level Geologist or Engineer in our Seattle, WA office to support NAVFAC NW, USACE, EPA, and commercial clients.

 What you will do:

The senior-level Geologist or Engineer will be responsible for managing projects that include field investigations, data acquisition, and data analysis activities for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects. There will be opportunity for this position to grow into a program manager role.

Specific duties include:

  • Manage on-site activities that include soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater sampling, observation of drilling and well installation activities, and environmental data management and reporting.
  • Delegate tasks to mid and junior staff members and direct field efforts (sampling, monitoring, inspections).
  • Prepare and effectively delegate preparation of work plans, and reports for clients/stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership through senior technical geology or engineering discipline mentorship and supervisory support to a growing office.
  • Deliver excellent quality on all deliverables.
  • Interact effectively with clients.
  • Maintain overall project quality.

 What you will need: 

  • B.S. degree (M.S degree preferred) in geology or engineering.
  • Professional Geologist License (any state) or Professional Engineer License (any state) and eligible for reciprocity in Washington State. Preference given to those already licensed in Washington state.
  • 15 or more years of relevant industry experience (graduate degree could substitute for years of experience), including drilling (geologist) or design (engineer) and field team leadership experience.
  • Experience working on environmental investigations, remedial designs, or remedial actions under CERCLA and/or MTCA.
  • Excellent project management and client communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS, borehole logging, 3D modeling, or groundwater modeling software preferred for geologists, or ArcGIS, CAD, and ProCore preferred for engineers.
  • Familiarity with slug tests, aquifer pump tests, or Incremental Sampling Methodology sampling preferred for geologists, familiarity with remediation design and construction preferred for engineers.
  • Knowledge of federal clients and contracts preferred.

Anticipated salary range of $125,000-$150,000 per year.
