Mid-level Geologist Scientist Engineer (24002)

We currently have an opportunity available for a hybrid mid-level Geologist, Scientist, or Engineer in our Hunt Valley office to support both existing programs/projects and new business development initiatives within our growing Munitions Response practice line.

What you will do:  As Munitions Response geologist, scientist, or engineer you will have responsibilities in the planning, design, and management of Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) and Sustainable Range Program related projects and proposals. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Perform munitions response project activities to ensure that project scope and objectives are accomplished within the proposed schedule and budget.
  • Assist with the preparation of a variety of munitions response documents (UFP-QAPP, ESS/ESP/CSS, RI/FS/PP/DD, RACR, etc.).
  • Supervise field work, to include mentoring/supervising junior staff, daily reporting of field operations, tracking project costs/schedule, and communication with EA management and clients.
  • Help coordinate project activities with government, regulatory, and other agencies.

 What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in geology, engineering, environmental sciences, or related discipline. 
  • Professional registration license or ability to be licensed (i.e. education/experience).
  • 3-10 years of related experience.
  • Experience with planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects, with a focus on site characterization and remediation (SCR), sustainable range studies, and/or MEC related projects.  
  • Experience expediting projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), and/or the Army Environmental Command (AEC) preferred.
  • Proficiency using all Microsoft applications.
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER training and First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for project related work and site visits.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
