We have an excellent opportunity for a senior-level Geologist, Engineer, or Environmental Scientist in our Brighton, MI office to manage and support a wide range of multidisciplinary projects throughout the Great Lakes region. Projects will include soil, sediment, soil gas, and groundwater remedial investigations and feasibility studies (RI/FS), site characterizations, remedial design (RD), remedial action (RA) and regulatory compliance support under State and Federal Programs and for commercial clients.

What you will do:

Your responsibilities will include: preparing technical proposals and cost estimates; management, planning, coordination, and execution of investigation and remediation projects; providing mentorship and technical expertise for junior staff; data management and interpretation; technical report development; client relationship development; financial management of projects; technical leadership and staffing/management of project teams; mentoring entry and mid-level staff; and attendance at local/regional workshops and conferences.

The ideal candidate will be able to develop new client relationships, as well as be skilled at working with existing clients to define comprehensive scopes of work and detailed cost estimates; prepare successful proposals; and successfully position for follow-on work.

 What you will need:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • M.S. degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years total experience and 3 years of project management experience preferred.
  • PE is preferred for Engineers and PG or CPG preferred for Geologists.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations (CERCLA) required.
  • Knowledge of regional state regulations (e.g., MI Part 201) preferred.
  • Critical thinking and technical writing skills, including the ability to convey information at an appropriate level of communication with varying levels of project staff.
  • The desire and ability to provide mentorship to entry and mid-level staff is required.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to learn quickly.
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred.
