What you will do:

 You will provide technical support to field and project work for Federal and private clients primarily in California and assist in junior staff mentorship. Field activities are anticipated to include environmental sample collection (soil, water, air, tissue) and subcontractor oversight. Project work (in office) is anticipated to include planning document preparation, permit assistance, data evaluation, report development, and cost estimating as well as supervising junior staff. Current projects include site characterization and remediation at CERCLA sites.

 What you will need:

  • B.S. degree (M.S degree preferred) geology, environmental science, or related field.
  • 4 plus years of related experience.
  • Strong technical writing skills are required.
  • Experience with assessment of analytical data and preparation of technical reports
  • Multimedia field sampling experience including soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater, and air.
  • Participation in soil and groundwater investigations (e.g., drilling oversight, monitor well installation), with demonstrated experience managing subcontractors.
  • Willingness to work cooperatively and mentor junior staff.
  • Experience working with mine sites a plus.
  • EPA experience strongly preferred.

Anticipated salary range $80,000 - $110,000 per year commensurate with education and experience.
