EA currently has an opportunity available for a full-time Senior Unexploded Ordnance Supervisor (SUXOS) to support existing projects and business development initiatives within EA’s growing Munitions Response service line.

Duties may include the following:

  • Assist in development of technical approaches and cost proposals for munitions response projects and operational range clearance activities
  • Assist with hiring of UXO teams
  • Planning, coordination and supervision of fieldwork and project teams
  • Review and ensure completeness of field reports (e.g., daily reports, audits)
  • Assist with preparation of overall project reports

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • A graduate of military EOD school with a minimum of five years of MEC supervisory experience 
  • Meet all requirements and have documented qualification, certifications, and experience to meet the requirements of DDESB TP-18 for the positions of SUXOS
  • Documented experience in executing RI’s, RA’s, RD’s, preferably using advanced geophysical technologies. 
  • Significant experience in all aspects of munitions response actions or range clearance activities
  • Must be able to receive approval from the BATF as an Employee Possessor
  • Have 40hr and 8 Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Training and up to date refreshers
  • Up to date CPR/First Aid/ADE certification
  • USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification
  • Candidates should be in good health as the physical demands of UXO positions include standing for long periods of time, bending and stooping, walking on uneven surfaces, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing activities under adverse environmental conditions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel)
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Overall experience providing cost effective solutions for munitions response and/or range clearance projects.
