We have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Mid-level Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to support drilling and field work activity in the Spokane, WA area related to the PFAS RI as well as support for the inter-mountain area of eastern WA, Idaho, and Montana. The candidate will serve as a Project/Task Manager and will be responsible for the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases for a range of multidisciplinary environmental projects, with a focus on site characterization and remediation (SCR).  The incumbent will also be responsible for client interaction, task/project management, technical writing, field-sampling procedures, and data interpretation. This position will report to the EA office in Seattle,WA.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Geology, Environmental Science or Engineering with a focus on hydrogeology, environmental geology, or engineering geology preferred.
  • 8 to 10+ years of experience with a A/E firm or government entity, including project/task management, field-sampling procedures, hydrologic and contaminant mapping skills, document research, and analytical data interpretation and reporting.
  • An understanding of competitive landscape in Spokane/Idaho region preferred.
  • Familiarity with public and private sector proposal preparation strongly desired.
  • Experience with direct push, roto sonic, and air rotary drilling techniques is a plus.
  • Experience with mentoring/supervising junior staff strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of site assessment methods and the RI/FS process is a plus.
  • Must have effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel out of state for project tasks lasting a week at a time.
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER and First Aid/CPR certifications a plus.
  • Experience with logging subsurface conditions in basalt formations is a plus.
