We have an excellent opportunity in our Warwick, RI office for a self-motivated mid-level Environmental/Civil Engineer with over 5 years of experience to support a wide range of engineering projects including environmental restoration, ecosystem restoration projects (i.e. streambank/riverbank restoration, dam removal, wetland restoration) and stormwater infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare plan designs, specifications, cost estimates and AutoCad designs
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modelling tasks for a variety of water resources projects including dams, watershed & floodplain studies, streambank stabilization, and stormwater systems
  • Mentor & supervise junior engineers and technicians
  • Provide technical engineering support for a wide range of projects involving construction oversight, ecosystem restoration (streambank/riverbank restoration, dam removal, wetland restoration), and other environmental, water resource and civil design projects
  • Produce written and oral reports
  • Clientele will include Federal DoD entities, US Fish and Wildlife, NOAA, non-profits, state and municipal entities, and commercial entities
  • Position will likely include short-term travel

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • EIT or PE license in a New England state or the ability to obtain PE
  • Proficient in a recent version of AutoCAD
  • HydroCAD experience preferred
  • HEC-RAS experience preferred
