We have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Junior-Level Environmental Professional (Geologist, Engineer, Scientist) to support growing business opportunities in our Syracuse, NY office.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be primarily responsible for participating in soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment investigation and remediation projects in the Northeast, and supporting other projects performed out of the Syracuse office. The candidate will assist senior staff with development of project documents (work plans, reports, etc.); planning, and coordinating complex field efforts (including developing scopes of work, schedule, and soliciting and procuring subcontractors); evaluating data; and performing field work. The position will include a combination of field work and office-based task work. The position will require daily interaction with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers during work performance.    

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree with 0-3 years of experience in disciplines such as geology, Environmental sciences or engineering.
  • Experience working on construction sites, ability to operate equipment and use hand tools highly desirable.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work with a team in both field and office settings.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred.

Travel in and out of state will be required for this position, possibly up to 75% of the time (periodically)
