We are currently seeking a self-motivated Geologist II for our Syracuse, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Support site characterization and remediation work
• Prepare for, participate in and or lead groundwater and soil sampling events.
• Analyze data and prepare plans and reports
• Procure and oversee drilling activities
• Perform field geologic mapping, logging, and sample collection during boring and test pit excavation
• Apply standard practices and techniques, interpret and correlate geologic and laboratory data, prepare cross-sections and geologic maps, recognize discrepancies in resolve using a systematic process
• Adhere to project quality assurance/quality control, and health and safety protocols

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Geology with emphasis in environmental, hydrogeology, geotechnical, or geophysics
• 2-5 years, groundwater/soil investigations, drilling, groundwater and soil sampling, site remediation, system operation and maintenance
• Report writing
• Data analysis
• 50-75% travel
