We have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Mid-Level Scientist in our Anchorage, AK office. This is a high-level technical position, and the successful candidate must demonstrate significant experience serving as a senior technical and/or QA/QC resource on projects.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating and executing of investigation and remedial projects at RCRA and CERCLA sites. Other responsibilities will include RI/FS, RA, engineering design, design/build, optimization, and O&M of both traditional and innovative soil and groundwater remedial technologies.
  • Will provide senior technical review and QA/QC support for site characterization and remediation projects
  • Responsible for regulatory coordination/technical negotiation
  • Will provide mentorship of mid and junior staff and proposal support

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Science, Engineering or related discipline (M.S. a plus) and 10 years of experience, experience authoring and reviewing work plans and technical reports
  • OSHA 40-hour training required
  • Experience managing and performing soil/groundwater environmental site investigations and data evaluations
  • Experience with field investigation activities include installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, collection of field samples (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, air)
  • Remediation pilot testing, construction oversight, operation and maintenance of remediation equipment
  • Must have experience with GIS, AutoCAD, MS, EQuIS
  • Must possess strong technical communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in environmental consulting.
