We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Permitting Specialist. The position will report from our Hunt Valley, MD office. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with at least 10 years of state, local and federal engineering permitting experience. This is an exceptional and unique opportunity to be a vibrant part of the senior leadership in developing new opportunities and providing technical expertise on existing opportunities. Exact expertise is flexible.

Responsibilities

  • Client Development - This position will access new clients, provide mentorship to mid and junior staff, and become a vital part of the company’s future direction.
  • Technical Expertise - The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, skilled at working with clients to define concise scopes of work, developing winning proposals, and successfully positioning for follow-on or ongoing work.  The exact discipline is flexible but should focus on the land/water interface from a scientific or engineering perspective. The only terrestrial skills candidate that would be considered would be natural gas expertise.
  • Business Development - A key component of this project and will focus on the commercial and state and local sectors. Federal non-DoD would also be considered for agencies such as USFWS, BOES and other DOI agencies. 

Qualifications

  • Master of Science or Ph.D. in a scientific or engineering field
  • Minimum of 10 years in the consulting industry
  • Business Development, client management, regulatory interaction, permitting, community involvement in complex projects with construction values of at least $10M.
  • The capability to easily absorb and apply EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC’s policies and procedures is also key.
