We have an excellent opportunity for an entry-level Geologist/Scientist position to support munitions response projects for our Hunt Valley, MD office.

 What you will do:

 You will assist in the planning, fieldwork (often involving out of state travel), and reporting phases for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects, with a focus on site characterization and remediation (SCR) and munitions response projects, along with CERCLA and RCRA-type site assessments and remedial activities, and Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments for a variety of government and commercial clients. You will prepare, implement, analyze, and report on environmental assessments, engineering projects, and remedial actions with associated fieldwork.

 What you will need:

  •  BA/BS degree in Geology or Environmental Science preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience with an A/E firm or government entity, including field-sampling procedures, hydrologic and contaminant mapping skills, document research, and analytical data interpretation and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel out of state for project tasks lasting several weeks required.
  • Knowledge of military munitions, range operations, site assessment methods, and remedial-action technologies/costing is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft office suite) required.
  • Environmental analytical/numeric (fate and transport) modeling and GIS experience a plus.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER training and First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus.
