We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced fully remote ArcGIS System Administrator to provide leadership and expertise for administration and support of organization-wide GIS platforms including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and associated applications.  

 What you will do:

The GIS System Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and management of EAs enterprise GIS platform and will collaborate with stakeholders to define GIS requirements and develop an approach for the ongoing use of ArcGIS Enterprise and Online that will support EAs expanding needs. Specific duties include: 

  • Support and maintain EAs ArcGIS Enterprise environments (Portal, Datastore, and ArcGIS Server) and ArcGIS Online environments.
  • Perform software patches, upgrades, license and user management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and other technical issues.
  • Lead the development of EAs ArcGIS platform strategy, vision, roadmap and implementation.
  • Provide technical insight and recommendations to determine GIS policies, objectives, and GIS software purchases.
  • Set governance policies for user roles, privileges, and content management.
  • Document and manage all GIS platform user guides, work processes, server configurations, enterprise architecture settings, and GIS database connections/accounts.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of data quality standards, data governance policies, and data access controls.
  • Ensure all data is secured and accessible.
  • Provide consulting services to EA project staff and client stakeholders about ArcGIS Enterprise and Online usage.
  • Provide training to GIS users on standards and best practices.

 What you will need:

  • Bachelors degree and 10 years of experience with a major emphasis in GIS, Computer Science/Engineering, Cartography, Geography.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in ArcGIS applications and software support, specifically ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Pro, including user account types, development tools and administrative structure.
  • Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python, ArcGIS Arcade, SQL and Javascript.
  • Experience with photogrammetry and LiDAR data processing and visualization tools including Cloud Compare, ArcGIS Excalibur and other 3D production tools is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and make complex decisions within the scope of responsibility.
  • Effective project management skills including the coordination and implementation of complex, organization-wide projects.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate group or team activities, engage in problem solving and work effectively with diverse groups in small or large settings. 

Salary range $100,000 - $120,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
