We have an excellent opportunity for a remote Accounts Payable Coordinator for our Corporate Accounting office.

What you will do: 

The remote Accounts Payable Coordinator will collaborate regularly with our accounting team.

Specific key responsibilities include:

  • Process accounts payables which include ensuring that all vendor invoices are accurate, properly documented, appropriately coded, analyzed for various State tax requirements and/or Federal allowability, and approved by authorizing employee(s).
  • Collaborate with outside vendors to resolve payment issues and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Manage EA’s vendor files, including setting up new vendors, maintaining any existing vendor changes, and ensuring compliance with applicable internal controls related to vendor maintenance.
  • Audit and approve employee expense reports for accuracy, proper expense. classification and documentation, and compliance with company policy.
  • Provide all supporting documentation if/when required by contract terms.
  • Maintain orderly files and records for audit and reference.

What you will need:

  • Associate degree in accounting preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in bookkeeping/accounting/accounts payable.
  • Prior experience with Unanet Accounting software a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in cost accounting and accounts payable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Accuracy without sacrificing efficiency is crucial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills are vital.
  • Problem-solving, sound judgement, and analytical thinking skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as a collaborator.
  • Capacity to multi-task and prioritize workload in a demanding environment.
