If this is you, apply today!  Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will join a dedicated, hardworking, and fun-loving team of folks performing a wide range of legal responsibilities in a fascinating and dynamic corporate setting.  This position will be hybrid remote or fully remote for the right candidate. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contracts, and other legal issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including service contracts, subcontracts, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Support the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Conduct legal research and provide interpretation of laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Advise on risk management strategies and help mitigate legal risks.
  • Assist with litigation management and liaise with external counsel as needed.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support business initiatives and provide proactive legal guidance.
  • Stay current with legal developments affecting the company and its industry.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, in-house, or in the government.
  • Expertise in at least one, and exposure to many, relevant corporate and commercial law disciplines, including the Federal Acquisition Regulations, grants and cooperative agreements, construction law, contract law, human resources and employment law, corporate policy and compliance, real estate law, insurance and risk mitigation, and intellectual property.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to professional excellence.

*Anticipated salary range: $175,000 - $225,000.
