Early Career Engineer (24093)

We have an excellent opportunity for an early career Engineer in our Albuquerque, NM office.

What you will do: 

The early career Engineer will support a wide range of multidisciplinary projects in New Mexico and elsewhere. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Support projects in soil, sediment, soil gas, groundwater remedial investigations (RI) and feasibility studies (FS), site characterizations, remedial design (RD), and remedial action (RA) for sites impacted by various chemical constituents including PFAS.
  • Support regulatory compliance under state and federal programs and for commercial clients.
  • Assist in planning activities.
  • Execute fieldwork.
  • Perform third-party oversight.
  • Analyze and tabulate data.
  • Provide engineering calculations and design services
  • Prepare reports for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects including preliminary assessments, site/ remedial investigations, and remedial designs.

 Note:  Travel in support of interesting projects will be required up to approximately 40%.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or geological engineering.
  • 0-3 years of industry experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training certificate preferred.
  • Critical thinking and technical writing skills, including the ability to convey information at an appropriate level of communication with varying levels of project staff.
  • Willingness to conduct field work, including water and soil sampling, drilling oversight, and site inspections.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment across technical disciplines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
  • Proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD)
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred.
  • Mechanical skills a plus.
  • Willingness to travel locally and out of state.
