We have an excellent opportunity for an early career Environmental Engineer or Scientist in our Anchorage, AK or Fairbanks, AK office to support multi-media compliance projects and/or remediation/restoration projects throughout the state of Alaska.

What you will do:

The early career Environmental Engineer or Scientist will focus on supporting various tasks for Air Quality/Clean Air Act Compliance, Water Quality Program Compliance, Hazardous Materials Program Compliance Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA)Reporting), etc. for Federal facilities and other commercial clients in Alaska.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Data collection, data analyses, emissions calculations, monitoring, recordkeeping, reporting, document/deliverable preparation, site visits, inspections, sample collection, and other activities.
  • May include supporting other site investigation, remediation, or restoration projects as requested.

What you will need:

  • BS/BA degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field. Masters preferred.
  • Multi-media environmental compliance and contaminated sites experience would be helpful but is not necessary.
  • Computer experience to include Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
  • Critical thinking and technical writing skills, including the ability to convey information at an appropriate level of communication with varying levels of project staff.
  • Must be able to complete a federal background check and obtain access cards/passes for Department of Defense facilities in Alaska.
  • Willing to travel for fieldwork for more than two weeks at a time in inclement weather.
