We have an excellent opportunity for a mid-level Coastal Scientist or Engineer in our Hunt Valley, MD office to support our existing natural resource practice.

Mid-level Coastal Scientist or Engineer responsibilities are to understand tidal dynamics, implications of sea level rise upon natural habitats, coastal morphological function, and similar knowledge base, but the exact area of expertise is less important than the ability to lead a wide variety of projects including:

  • Design support for nature-based solution and ecosystem restoration efforts (in conjunction with an engineering team)
  • Climate adaptation/resiliency relating to natural resources, sediment management, wetland assessments, and/or dune/beach management plans.

Requirements:

  • Master’s or PhD degree preferred in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with project management and business development required.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Federal, State and local permitting requirements for tidal and nearshore projects.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Establish working relationships and experience working primarily with Federal clients.
