We have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated mid-level GIS Specialist with a minimum of 5 years experience. Responsibilities will include coordinating with staff and leading development and maintenance of GIS systems and applications both internally and for a diverse range of clients and projects.

What You Will Do

The candidate will consult with EA team members and clients to:

  • Create and maintain client-specific GIS Data in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Create and maintain company and client-specific file and Enterprise GIS databases.
  • Create and maintain scripts and/or tools in ArcGIS Pro.
  • Develop and maintain GIS applications and interactive maps.
  • Develop and maintain templates, figures, forms, and GIS project files.
  • Populate and update metadata for GIS features in accordance with industry or client-specific standards.
  • Develop and maintain Field Data Collection Applications using ESRI Survey123 and Field Maps.
  • Experience with georeferencing client provided content such as built drawings.
  • Create, update, and maintain ArcGIS online web applications using ESRI ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Enterprise (Portal).
  • Update GIS data based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and develop GIS Documentation and User Guides

What You Need

  • B.A. or B.S. in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or Environmental Science with concentration in GIS.
  • 5-10 years of GIS experience.
  • Proficiency in ESRI GIS Software including ArcGIS Pro 3.0 or newer, ArcGIS Online Platform, ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal), and Microsoft Product Suite.
  • Proficient with GPS field data collection.
  • Experience with GIS scripting and/or GIS programming using Python, VB script and other GIS compatible programming languages strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ESRI and industry best management practices of creating and maintaining Metadata and data storage.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro Advanced Editing Tools
  • Proficient with basic geoprocessing tools and projection/coordinate systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical disciplines and with clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
