Experience Technical Editor - Lincoln (22200)

 We have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Editor to support our Lincoln office.  We are looking for someone to work either a 30-hour or 40-hour schedule.  This position may be in-office, hybrid, or remote.

What you will do:  You will work within an integrated team to provide editorial reviews of client deliverables.  As part of those responsibilities, you will: check grammar, spelling, and formatting; evaluate the overall editorial quality of each written deliverable (i.e., whether the purpose of a deliverable is clearly stated; the discussion is coherent and consistent; the deliverable is clear, readable, and well organized; data are clearly presented in tables and figures; and the deliverable contains an appropriate summary). You will also offer advice to authors on formatting, organization, and other issues when deliverables are being prepared.

What you will need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (English or similar) in writing, journalism, or related field desired.
  • 1-5 years of experience in writing, editing, and preparing business or technical documentation
  • Good technical writing skills to help identify issues with clarity and rework text as appropriate.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF skills.
