The EA Seattle Office seeks a mid- to senior-level engineer (Engineer III) familiar with mine site remediation,the evaluation of removal actions with an emphasis on repository design, in-stream excavations, and surface water diversions.


  • Supporting remedial design projects
  • Interacting with a wide range of clients that may include  Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Defense, National Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, ports, , and commercial clients.
  • Task and budget management, and delegation to junior staff.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Engineering or related field.
  • Seven to ten years of experience with site characterization and remediation projects.
  • P.E. license in either environmental or civil engineering.
  • Familiarity with proposal development.
  • Experience with CERCLA investigations and actions for federal clients, conducting field investigations and managing field teams.
  • Ability to manage tasks or mid-sized projects with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of environmental remediation across multiple media.
  • Ability to provide design support for environmental remediation; mine site repository design experience is desirable
  • Experience directing technical teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with diverse teams across various geographic areas.
