EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC has a unique opportunity for a Scientist I in our Barrigada, Guam location.  This position will include a combination of office-based tasks and field activities. The selected candidate will have daily interaction with a multidisciplinary team of scientists.
Specific tasks include assisting senior staff with the following: helping prepare project documents (work plans, reports, etc.); planning, coordinating, and leading field efforts; and collecting and evaluating data.

The successful candidate will assist in a wide range of natural resource/environmental compliance projects which could include:
Primary 
• Field studies to support flora and fauna surveys
• Habitat assessments and management
• Threatened and endangered species surveys
• Ecological monitoring
• Wetland and aquatic resources characterizations and assessments
Secondary 
• Solid waste compliance
• Stormwater compliance
• Construction support compliance
• Investigation/remediation support

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following disciplines: Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science;
• Must be comfortable working in hot and humid conditions on challenging terrain with thick vegetation; 
• An understanding of natural resources within the Marianas region and/or coastal settings;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information at an appropriate level of communication with varying levels of project staff;
• Able to work in both the office and field;
• Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to learn quickly are vital.
