We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Geologist IV to support our growing consulting practice in Syracuse. This position will provide project management for long-term remediation project tasks and multiple subtasks, technical direction, client management, proposal development and staffing needs.

Responsibilities will also include directing field efforts (sampling, monitoring, inspections); preparing work plans and reports for submittal to clients, execution of environmental projects with a focus on investigation and remediation projects, managing of task budgets and mentoring of staff.

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
  • M.S. degree a plus, Professional Geologist license preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience of relevant experience.
  • Experience with RI/FS projects under environmental regulations including CERCLA. 
  • Familiarity with soil and groundwater remediation systems.
  • Experience conducting and managing field teams for environmental sampling, including soil, groundwater, sediment and air.
  • Experience with analytical labs and management of environmental data.
  • Solid communication (written and verbal) skills are required, including the ability to participate and/or lead client meetings, interface with clients in a field or industrial environment, and maintain appropriate level of communication with supervisor and project/program managers.
  • Candidate must be able to work as a team member across technical disciplines, and must be able to prepare scopes of work, cost proposals and budgets, as well as EA’s project management and quality standards. Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to learn quickly are critical.
