Role Description:

EA has an opportunity for an Environmental Project Manager in Nebraska to support our growing work related to petroleum and PFAS site investigation and remediation projects for Federal, State, and commercial clients. 

Candidate will be responsible for managing projects including site characterization, risk assessments, remedial deigns, and optimization and operation of remedial systems.  Will provide leadership and mentoring for project team members to develop creative and innovative solutions to challenging problems.  Will ensure the project activities are executed on schedule, on budget and with exceptional quality.  Will develop strong client relationships, lead business development and proposal efforts.

Position location is in Nebraska but is flexible with potential options for working from home, from Omaha, or from EA’s full-service office in Lincoln.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in geology, engineering (civil, chemical, environmental, biological systems), science (chemistry, hydrogeology, biology) or related environmental field) from an ABET accredited program.
  • Professional certification (P.G., P.E., PMP, etc.) is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience with petroleum site characterization and remediation.  Experience related to PFAS is desired.
  • Direct experience managing projects and complex tasks for state clients (such as NDEE), commercial, and federal clients (such as USACE, EPA, and Air Force).  Experience with Tier 1 and Tier 2 investigations is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements relating to petroleum remediation programs.
  • Record of success building client relationships and leading complex proposal efforts.
