What you will do:

EA is looking for an experienced environmental professional to support project level quality assurance and quality control activities; provide mentorship, training, and review of planning documents, field activities, data generation, and reports for existing investigation, monitoring, and remediation work; and to assist with organic growth of an emerging office. Day to day responsibilities include preparation and review of planning documents, field documentation, analytical data, and reports for content, applicability, and accuracy; coordination with project team members and subcontractors (e.g., laboratories and data validation firms) to implement project quality control and meet project requirements; identify and document nonconformances, work with team members to develop corrective actions, and verifies that corrective actions resolve the issues and/or prevent reoccurrences. Existing clients are primarily federal. Project locations throughout the Western United States, though most are in California. This position requires working out of the Sacramento office at least 4 days a week to facilitate mentorship of junior staff.

What you will need:

  • B.S. degree (M.S degree preferred) chemistry or related scientific field.
  • 4 – 8 years of related experience.
  • Strong technical writing skills are required.
  • Experience with assessment of analytical data and preparation of technical reports.
  • Multimedia field sampling experience including soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater, and air.
  • Willingness to work cooperatively and mentor junior staff.
  • Ability to develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting.
  • EPA experience strongly preferred.

Anticipated salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
