We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager in our Honolulu, HI office. This position will support EA’s existing and growing diverse mix of private, commercial, municipal, state, and federal clients across the Pacific region.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for preparing technical proposals; cost estimates; planning, coordination, and execution of investigation and remediation projects; Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments; permit application development; data management and interpretation; technical report development; client relationship development; financial management of projects; technical leadership; and staffing/management of project teams.

The ideal candidate will develop new client relationships, as well as be skilled at working with existing clients to define comprehensive scopes of work and detailed cost estimates; prepare successful proposals; and successfully position for follow-on work.

What you will need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of project management experience and more than 10+ years of experience executing environmental investigation and remediation projects, preparing proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Strong knowledge of the Hawaii Department of Health (HDOH) Technical Guidance Manual, HDOH Evaluation of Environmental Hazards at Sites with Contaminated Soil and Groundwater, and other HDOH guidance with at least 5 years’ experience in Hawaii.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations (CERCLA, RCRA, CWA).
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and current 8-hour HAZWOPER annual refresher; First Aid and CPR certifications required.
  • Commitment to working with EA staff, clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to provide excellent client service.
  • Strong communication, organizational, computer, and project management skills.
  • Ability to perform fieldwork and occasionally travel out of state.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist certification.
  • Experience with the Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA, Historic Preservation Act, and Department of Defense Clients.
  • Experience with GPS and GIS.

Anticipated salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year.
