We have an excellent opportunity for an entry level Scientist or Engineer in our office in Sacramento, California.  Selected candidate will provide technical support to field and project work for Federal and private clients primarily in California.  Field activities are anticipated to include environmental sample collection (soil, water, air, tissue) and subcontractor oversight.  Project work (in office) is anticipated to include planning document preparation, permit assistance, data evaluation, report development, and cost estimating.  Current projects include site characterization and remediation at CERCLA sites. 

Required Qualifications: 

• BS (e.g., geology, biology, environmental engineering, civil engineering), MS preferred
• 0 to 4 years of experience
• Strong technical writing skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to travel (less than 50 percent of the time)
• Ability to complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER (upon employment). 

Desired Qualifications: 

• Multimedia field sampling experience including soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater, or air.
• Participation in soil and groundwater investigations, with demonstrated experience managing subcontractors.
• Experience with assessment of analytical data and preparation of technical reports.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
