We are currently seeking a self-motivated mid-level Engineer for our Fayetteville, AR office

What you will do: You will serve as a mid-level Engineer and Assistant Director of our wastewater engineering lab.  You will be responsible for the following:

  • Test plan setup and execution, evaluation of results, and client management.
  • Aerobic/anaerobic biodegradability testing.
  • Biomass activity testing.
  • Determination of the toxicity of compounds to biological system, biochemical methane potential (BMP) testing, and determination of kinetics parameter (aerobic/anaerobic) for design.
  • Bench and pilot scale testing for biological systems including activated sludge (aerobic/anaerobic), membrane bioreactor, moving bed biological reactor, trickle filter, and granular sludge systems (aerobic/anaerobic).
  • Physical/chemical testing including application of various coagulants and flocculants for removal of solids and other materials; advanced oxidation techniques including Fentons, ultraviolet, and ozone; electrocoagulation; membrane separation (Micro, UF, RO); filtration (sand or other); adsorption (activated carbon, zeolite).

What you will need:

  • BS/BA degree or higher in engineering, environmental sciences, or related discipline. 
  • 5+ years of related laboratory experience with a A/E firm or government entity.
  • Graduate laboratory experience - required.
  • Commercial wastewater treatability experience a plus.
  •  PhD thesis in relevant topic - wastewater/water treatment, PFAS treatability, anaerobic reactors - a plus
