We’re excited to offer this entry-level Scientist position in our Oswego, NY location. This is a fantastic opportunity for the candidate to grow and develop their skills, as well as impact the environment in a positive way.

Your responsibilities and contributions:

  • Environmental sampling (soil, milk, terrestrial vegetation, water, aquatic vegetation, snow, rainwater, and sediment)
  • Collection of air monitoring device samples and dosimetry badges in and around a nuclear plant
  • Groundwater monitoring activities
  • Great Lakes fisheries work with gillnetting and fish identification
  • Land use surveys (garden, nearest residence, nearest meet animal, etc.)

What you will bring to this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Motivation and willingness to learn
  • Knowledge and use of tools 
  • Boat handling and trailering
  • Fish identification (helpful)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Driving experience
  • Groundwater monitoring experience helpful, but not necessary
  • Advanced computer skills (ArcGIS) helpful, but not necessary
