EA has an opportunity for an Environmental Field Geologist within our Nebraska Operations to support our growing work related to site characterization and remediation.  EA is national industry leader in area of PFAS investigation, mitigation, and remediation, resulting in tremendous growth and expanding project backlog.  The position provides exceptional opportunity for personal and professional growth, particularly related to PFAS.  Flexible work environment with offices in Lincoln and Omaha.  This position will require overnight travel to field locations.

Responsibilities: 

  • Organize and supervise field efforts, direct drilling subcontractors, core logging, train entry level staff on sample procedures, manage data, and prepare planning documents and technical reports. The primary responsibilities will be field activities but will also have office work assignments.
  • Lead and manage a team for complex field investigations and field data collection for a wide range of environmental projects, with focus on site characterization and PFAS.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in geology, hydrogeology, or related degree
  • 2 - 5 years of experience conducting field work for site characterization and remediation related to PFAS, munitions, chlorinated solvents and other environmental contaminants.
  • Office experience supporting tasks related to planning documents, data management, and reporting.
  • Professional certifications, such as Fundamentals of Geology (FG) and Practice of Geology (PG), and strongly desired and pursuit encouraged and supported.
  • Adventurous nature with interest in traveling to different parts of the country.
  • Passion for using your talents to improve our environment.
