We are seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager responsible for the daily quality control of various environmental field projects. Job duties will include ensuring that all construction activities meet and maintain set standards of the highest possible quality through matching standards with practices, conducting audits and inspections, addressing any issues that arise to the project manager, and maintaining detailed records.   The CQCM will work as primary contact for all quality issues for job site while coordinating inspections, supervising contractors, and creating daily reports.

This position will be based out of the Abingdon, MD office but will require travel to job sites potentially in MD, DE and NJ.  The first assignment will be in New Jersey for 4 - 6 months.  EA pays for meals and lodging.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • The Contractor Quality Control System Manager shall be a graduate engineer, graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management or shall hold a state Professional Engineer’s license
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in construction, including 1 year as a QC Representative.
  • Working knowledge of performing quality control activities on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have strong analytical and leadership skills.
  • USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification a plus.
  • OSHA Safety training, (30 hour) – Preferred.
  • Ability to communicate directly with the Fed Gov Quality POC.
  • Ability to read blueprints and provide applicable edits.
  • Knowledge of Fed Gov/DOD Quality Reporting Systems (QCS/RMS).
  • Hands on attitude that will require field work.
