Mid level Geologist/Scientist/Engineer (22022)

We are currently seeking a self-motivated mid-level Geologist for our Hunt Valley, MD office.

The candidate will serve as a Mid level Geologist/Scientist/Engineer and will be responsible for the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects, with a focus on site characterization and remediation (SCR) and munitions response projects, along with CERCLA and RCRA-type site assessments and remedial activities. The incumbent will also be responsible for client and regulator interaction, task/project management, technical writing, field-sampling procedures, document research, and analytical/statistical data interpretation.

  Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Geology with a focus on hydrogeology, environmental geology, or engineering geology preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience with a A/E firm or government entity, including project/task management, field-sampling procedures, hydrologic and contaminant mapping skills, document research, and analytical data interpretation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of military munitions, range operations, site assessment methods, and remedial-action technologies/costing is a plus.
  • Experience with mentoring/supervising junior staff a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite required; environmental analytical/numeric (fate and transport) modeling and GIS experience a plus.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies a plus.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel out of state for project tasks lasting a week at a time.
