EA has an opportunity for a mid-level Geologist in the Albuquerque, NM area to support our growing work related to natural resources, water resources, and environmental restoration with a focus on state, municipal and local clients. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage site characterization and remediation projects including individual tasks, schedules, and budgets from the proposal stage through project completion for a wide range of environmental projects.
  • Delegate to staff and lead preparation of technical reports and field data collection.
  • Lead and manage a team for complex field investigations.
  • Develop reports and regulatory permits and approvals in compliance with various environmental laws.
  • Perform technical analysis of site data.  Guide and/or prepare geologic work products including plume maps, groundwater gradient maps, cross-sections, structure contour and sub-crop maps.  Familiarity with 3-D geologic models (EVS, Rockworks) and GIS a plus.Initiate and retain contact with existing and potential clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare proposals, project scopes of work, and cost estimating.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in geology, hydrogeology, geological engineering; M.S. preferred.
  • Professional registration (P.G., P.E.) is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
  • 7 - 10 field experience in project management, proposal preparation and report preparation.
  • Office experience leading tasks related to planning documents, data management, and reporting.
