We have an excellent opportunity in our Anchorage, AK for an entry-level engineer/scientist to support our multi-media environmental compliance projects and/or remediation/restoration projects throughout Alaska. Position could be based in Anchorage or in Fairbanks.

Responsibilities will include supporting various tasks for Air Quality/Clean Air Act Compliance, Water Quality Program Compliance, Hazardous Materials Program Compliance (i.e. Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act Reporting), etc. for Federal Facilities and other Commercial clients in Alaska and the Pacific. This includes supporting data collection, data analyses, emissions calculations, monitoring, recordkeeping, reporting, document/deliverable preparation, site visits, inspections, sample collection, and other activities.

Qualifications

  • BS in chemical, environmental, mechanical engineering, geology, chemistry, or related area.
  • 0 - 2 years of related experience.
  • Applicants must be willing to travel at times via small aircraft, helicopter, or marine vessels in addition to normal commercial travel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to complete a federal background check and obtain access cards/passes for Department of Defense facilities in Alaska.

Note:  The recent Executive Order signed by President Biden requires all Federal employees and employees of Federal contractors be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. EA, as a Federal contractor, requires all employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  As such, all prospective employees must submit proof of full COVID vaccination prior to their first day of employment with EA.
