We are currently seeking a self-motivated mid-level Geologist for our Hunt Valley, MD office.

Responsibilities include assisting in the planning, fieldwork and reporting phases for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects, with a focus on site characterization and remediation (SCR) and munitions projects, CERCLA and RCRA-type site assessments and remedial activities, and Phase I and II environmental site assessments for a variety of government and commercial clients. This individual will also assis with technical proposal development and costing, task management, subcontractor management and client interfacing. Knowledge of military munitions, range operations, site assessment methods, and remedial action technologies/costing a plus.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Geology with a focus on hydrogeology, environmental geology, or engineering geology preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience including project/task management, field-sampling procedures, hydrologic and contaminant mapping skills, document research and analytical data interpretation and reporting.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft office suite) required, environmental analytical/numeric (fate and transport) modeling and GIS experience a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel out of state for project tasks lasting several weeks or more.
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER and First Aid/CPR certifications a plus.
  • Professional Geologist (PG) certification (or FG as appropriate) considered a plus.
  • Membership in a professional organization a plus (e.g. NGWA, SAME, GSA, AEEG, AGU, ASCE, PCPG, or other relevant organizations).
