We have an opportunity for a Scientist, who specializes in Health & Safety, to work out of our office in Hunt Valley, MD.

This position will consist of client and project management and technical leadership/support for a broad range of health and safety projects, including compliance audits and assessments; support of safety compliance program development including Standard Operating Procedures, training, and Safety Management System development and implementation; meeting facilitation; regulatory applicability analyses; hazardous materials assessments, and other projects.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in occupational health, public health, environmental science or related field, MS preferred,
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienst (CIH) preferred,
  • 10+ years of experience managing and leading EHS compliance projects,
  • Experience developing and implementing health and safety programs; including SOPs, training, guidance, etc.; audits, SMS and the OHSAS 45001 standard, and/or other EHS compliance activities,
  • Must be familiar with hazardous materials (asbestos, lead) management and industrial hygiene,
  • Exceptional communcation (written and oral) skills are required, including comfort and ability to interface with clients.

Ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a leader/member of a cross-disciplinary team.
