We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior-Level Solid Waste Engineer and Project Manager in our Hunt Valley, MD office with potential to support projects throughout Maryland, as well as in Alaska, Texas, the Northern Mariana Islands, and other U.S. locations.  The work will be primarily from Hunt Valley with some short-term travel for site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will foster client relationships, lead proposals, manage projects, mentor staff, and be a senior technical resource for solid waste projects.  The candidate will consult with EA staff and clients to determine how to meet project goals; manage and perform engineering design tasks and evaluations related to landfill cell and closure design, landfill expansions, landfill gas management, solid waste facility design, and operational support.  This position will be tailored to a specific candidate’s experience and personal interest.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be a Professional Engineer (P.E.), or working towards a P.E.
  • 15 or more years of solid waste/landfill design experience, with a minimum B.S. degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field.  Maryland experience preferred.
  • This position is best suited for an individual that is excited to grow a consulting practice.
