 We have an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Scientist in our Lincoln, NE office.

Responsibilities

EA is looking for an experienced Mid-Level Scientist/Project Manager to support our growing work on environmental and natural resource projects.  The candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Project management including managing individual tasks, schedules, and budgets from the proposal stage through project completion for a wide range of environmental projects.
  • Initiate and retain contact with existing and potential clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Must be able to supervise field work and field crews. 
  • The candidate should exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to prepare quality deliverables. 
  • Must have the ability to lead a wide variety of projects including; NEPA compliance, 404/401 permitting support, environmental assessments, wetland assessments, and/or soil and groundwater sampling.
  • Develop reports and regulatory permits and approvals in compliance with various environmental laws.

Qualifications

  • BS in natural resources or related environmental science or program.
  • 5+ years of experience working in natural resources and project management.
  • Candidate must be able to work as a team member across technical disciplines, and must be able to adhere to schedules, scopes, and budgets, as well as EA’s project management and quality standards.  Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to learn quickly are critical.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including coordination with federal/state/local agencies on regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organization and project management skills a must.
  • Experience working on a wide range of diverse projects from natural resources to environmental assessments is a plus.
  • Must be able to assist in preparing proposals, project scopes of work, and cost estimating.
