We have a great opportunity for a Project Manager (Project Manager II) to lead and support remediation projects throughout California and the West Coast under several existing long-term contracting vehicles in addition to supporting EA’s other site characterization and remediation projects throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the position include project management, preparation of work plans and cost estimates, preparation of reports and bid documents, client interaction, subcontractor procurement and oversight, planning field efforts, budget tracking, and business development. Work will include leading and participating in teams for the preparation of remedial investigations, feasibility studies, ecological risk assessments, and human health risk assessments, as well as collaboration with EA’s multi-disciplined scientists, engineers, and technical specialists nationwide. Though project sites along the U.S. West Coast are anticipated, the ideal candidate will also have the ability to travel and work remotely on projects in other locations as needed.

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years of experience primarily focused on CERCLA and/or RCRA projects involving contaminated soils, sediment, water, and vapor intrusion.
  • B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in geology; environmental science; environmental, civil, geotechnical, or coastal engineering (or related scientific or engineering field).
  • Current P.E. or P.G. license (or ability to obtain within 1 year) or PMP certification.   
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, technical writing, and proposal development.
  • Experience leading and/or participating in project teams conducting remedial investigations, preparing feasibility studies, preparing risk assessments.  preparing statements of work, preparing work plans, estimating costs, project scheduling, and supervising subcontractors. 
  • Exceptional client management and business development skills.
  • Candidate must be able to work as a team member across technical disciplines, and must be able to adhere to schedules, scopes, and budgets, as well as EA’s project management and quality standards.
  • Ability as needed to work in both a field and office setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including coordination with federal/state/local agencies on regulatory requirements.
