We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Scientist in our Hunt Valley, MD office.

Experience and Skills

  • Environmental Chemistry Environmental toxicology focused on fate and transport Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment
  • Lead Chemist and Senior toxicologist/human health/ecological risk assessor. Provide expertise in the above areas on a variety of projects across the US. Develop new clients to compliment areas of expertise.
  • Experience in establishing Data Quality Objectives (DQOs) and performing reviews of Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) in both EPA QA-R5 and UFP-QAPP formats.
  • Ability to assist designing sampling plans that achieve the established DQOs.  Experience with Field Sampling Plan (EPAs sampling plan software) is a plus.
  • Provide technical and senior technical review of work products including (but not limited to)  QAPPs, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, RCRA corrective action documents, data reports, data usability assessments, and remedial action documents.
  • Ability to interact with chemical laboratories resolving data quality issues, assignment of appropriate analytical procedures, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to interact with scientists representing Federal and state regulators, Potentially Responsible Parties (PRPs), stakeholders, clients (e.g. USACE, Air Force, Navy, EPA), and the public.

Business Development

  • Support internal proposals in areas of expertise and develop new clients that match areas of expertise
  • Assist in the development of sampling plans associated with “sample problems” often required for large proposals.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of experience in the consulting industry with a progressive increase in responsibility and areas of expertise
  • Ph.D strongly preferred M.S. degrees with experience will be considered
