EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC is searching for a Director of Rail Services. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced senior environmental professional to leverage and grow relationships with rail clients nationwide. This position will consist of client relationship development, key account management, technical leadership and project execution. The ideal candidate will have direct experience providing environmental services to rail companies, have direct client relationships, be self-motivated, skilled at growing opportunities, develop scopes of work, lead and prepare winning proposals, lead consultant teams, and successfully positioning for follow-on or ongoing work.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated client relationships and business development success with rail clients. 
  • Exceptional leadership and oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and to lead project teams
  • Desire/ability to collaborate across EA service lines and geographies and direct/collaborate with all levels of staff
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in environmental consulting as well as a track record of project management success
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of:  Proposal Development, Project Management, and Technical Writing
  • Possess the ability to verbally communicate complex technical issues with non-technical lay personnel across all levels
  • Demonstrated a successful track record of working with clients to define issues and developing practical and cost-effective solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science, in environmental science, engineering, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university; advanced degree preferred
  • At least 15 years of demonstrated success in client development, program and project management
  • Demonstrated client relationships with rail companies
  • Specific experience selling and managing environmental services
  • Industry recognized certification such as PE, PG, CHMM preferred
  • Ability to travel as required
